| UPROXX: Gossip Culture & Mitch Murder Bring Back ’80s Grooves On “Waiting (Remix)”
July 30, 2014
Read the original piece by Beware Bowdon at Uproxx’s The Smoking Section.
This remix to Gossip Culture’s single “Waiting” is in a pocket I have a hard time falling out of. I could be in the middle of listening to something like Dayton Family for two days straight, then hear a song of this caliber – with it’s bubbly 80s R&B bassline, tinges of vocodor and overall confidence – and immediately binge on dance music for the next however long.
Truthfully, as nice as Gossip Culture’s lead singer Ryan Sheridan sounds on this floor scorcher, producer Mitch Murder might be the star here. After listening to the more serene original version, Mitch completely flipped the track on it’s head, taking it to another stratosphere in the process.
Partake in the party below. Make sure to wear a suit.
